Year in Review Feature – Coming Soon to TimeTrack Pro

A "Year in Review" would summarize your entire year's movements in a private, offline report — highlighting key stats, places, and patterns without any cloud upload or data sharing. This feature is high on the roadmap because it turns raw timeline data into meaningful personal reflection.

1. What "Year in Review" Will Show (Planned Design)

  • Total distance traveled — estimated from point-to-point calculations
  • Top 10 most visited places — home, work, gym, favorite shops
  • Most active months/days — peak travel periods
  • Time spent categories — e.g. commuting, shopping, outdoors
  • Yearly highlights — longest trip, most unusual location, biggest change in routine
  • Visual timeline — mini calendar with color-coded activity

2. How It Will Work (Offline & Private)

  1. Export your full year (or multiple files) via Settings → Location → Timeline → Export JSON
  2. Import all files into TimeTrack Pro
  3. Go to Settings → Year in Review (new menu item)
  4. Select year → app processes locally (may take 1–2 min for large datasets)
  5. View interactive summary → copy stats, screenshot, or export as text/PDF (future)
  6. Delete report anytime — no permanent storage unless you choose

  • Optional encryption — protect the report if saved
  • No analytics — app never sends stats anywhere
  • One-tap delete — wipe report instantly

4. Real-World Use Cases

5. Tips While Waiting for the Feature

  • Manually review year in calendar view → copy key dates/times
  • Export yearly chunks → import → use copy-time for manual stats
  • Screenshot monthly summaries → compile your own review
  • Use spreadsheet → paste copied times → calculate totals

6. Roadmap Status & Feedback
