App Installation FAQ – TimeTrack Pro

Installing the premium APK is simple, but Android has safety checks. Here are answers to common questions (2026 Android versions).

1. How do I install the APK?

  • Download from /download after purchase
  • Open file in Downloads → tap Install
  • If blocked: Settings → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps → allow your browser/file manager

2. Why "Install from unknown sources"?

Google Play doesn't host our app (Pi payment model). Android blocks non-Play APKs by default — one-time toggle needed.

3. Is it safe?

  • Scanned with VirusTotal before release
  • No permissions beyond storage (for import/export)
  • Offline after install — no network calls

4. What if Play Protect warns?

It's because we're not on Play Store. Tap "Install anyway" — safe for verified APKs from trusted developers.

5. Uninstall/reinstall?

  • Uninstall normally → data deleted (back up exports first)
  • Reinstall same way — no login needed
